Donating to St Giles Trust
Newly released prisoners often leave custody with just the clothes they are standing up in, nowhere to live and a discharge grant of £40 which they need to make last for several weeks. This is where your support can really make a difference to help stop people getting trapped in a cycle of destitution, addiction and re-offending.
Whether you want to become a regular donor or give us a one off donation, giving money to us will help people build successful and independent lives. Just a few pounds each month will have a direct impact.
We offer practical support to help people who have just left prison get established in the community to prevent them from re-offending. Just £5 will buy luncheon vouchers to help someone who has just left prison with very limited means feed themselves for a day. £10 will help them buy suitable clothes for work or college and £40 will help pay for emergency accommodation for someone who has left prison but has nowhere to go.
Regular gifts - no matter how small - can have a dramatic effect on our work as we know when money is coming in. Please contact us for further information or set up a regular donation by clicking on the donate button on the previous page.
Payroll giving is exceptionally valuable. Employees can choose to donate directly from their pay. Payroll giving donations are deducted before tax so each £1 you give will only cost you 78p, or 60p if you are a higher income tax payer. Ask your employer or contact us for further details.
