Whether you are a keen runner or looking for a challenge this summer, run for us and raise valuable funds for St Giles Trust!
Following the success of our amazing London Marathon runners in April, we are on the hunt once again for sporty supporters to fundraise for St Giles in a running event...
We have places in several events coming up this and next year (see below for details) - if you would like to apply for one of our charity places, please do get in touch by emailing our fundraising team or calling us on 020 7703 7000.
The British 10K London Run (11th July 2010 - click here for more info)
Starting at Hyde Park Corner and winding around central London to finish at Whitehall, the British 10K is a fantastic day out for runners and spectators alike. We are asking our participants to raise £200 in sponsorship for this race.
Run to the Beat (26th September 2010 - click here for more info)
This is half marathon (13 miles) which takes place in South East London. The unique part of this event if the music stations positioned along the route, playing specifically chosen music to scientifically boost runners' motivation and energy levels. As well as the positive effects on those taking part, the music makes it a really fun anf lively event for everyone that has come along to cheer! We are asking our runners to raise £300 in sponsorship for this race.
Brighton Marathon (10th April 2011 - click here for more info)
The 26mile route goes all around the centre of beautiful Brighton. There are some undulations in the route, principally in the first 11 miles, while the last 15 miles are either flat or downhill. The last mile is along the seafront road and the finish is just east of Brighton Pier. We are asking for £1,500 in sponsorship.
London Marathon (17th April 2011 - click here for more info)
This event needs no introduction - it is the biggest event in the running calendar and a truly fantastic day for runners and cheerers. The route goes all around South and Central London and we are asking for £1,500 in sponsorship for those who would like the chance to take part in this landmark event.
If you have another race in mind or would rather take part in an event closer to where you are, check out our list of regional races you can take part in by applying for your own place then simply dedicating your fundraising to St Giles Trust.
As always, if you have any questions or ideas about other ways to support us, please do get in touch.... Happy training!!
