Are You an Ex-Offender in Need of Support?
There are several practical ways in which St Giles Trust may be able to help you, from help with housing to help finding a job.
St Giles Trust runs a range of services designed to help ex-offenders.
Help to find a job
Are you an ex-offender looking to get back into work? Do you keep getting knocked back? Maybe our Skills and Employment Team can help. We provide practical support with issues such as job hunting, confidence building, preparing a CV and handling interviews. We also have links with employers and try to lobby them to take on ex-offenders as employees. For more information, ring us on 020 7703 7000.
Are you or is someone you know leaving prison without support?
Although the end of a prison sentence is obviously a good thing, many people struggle with issues such as finding somewhere to live, getting benefits and finding a job. Furthermore, issues such as drug and alcohol problems or physical and mental health issues can further complicate things. St Giles Trust provides a practical, intensive support service for prison leavers which can help with accommodation, re-establishing lapsed support links, accessing services such as detox and support at statutory appointments such as probation. It can only currently support people returning to London and Norfolk. For more information on what services are available please phone 020 7703 7000.
Are you homeless or in need of emergency accommodation?
Our drop-in Brief Intervention Service in Camberwell, south London, can help you access emergency housing if you are homeless or sleeping rough. It is open from 9.30am-12.30pm Monday to Friday at our head office in Camberwell and people can self-refer. We will try to help everyone who comes to us in need of help but our funding means we are restricted to only offering longer-term support to people who have a connection to Southwark in south London. For more details phone 020 7703 7000.
